    Poem Commentary

    This is what I have learned about poetry... What I believe it does and is... It might not have any order or anything, but then again, do I?

    In Between The Lines...

     Poetry is about
    finding what's inside,
    taking it out, putting it to words,
    bringing out your hidden side...

    It doesnt have to rhyme
    or even make sense,
    just as long as you get something
    from what the poem has said...

    Poems can be about anything,
    nothing, everything or even all three.
    What really matters is, at the end,
    whether you can say "this gets me"...

    Peoples emotions should be present,
    so present you can hear thier voice...
    The tears of joy of the bride,
    to the screams if the lost boy...

    Poems arent just words
    put together by accident.
    They are works of art,
    full to the brim with passion...

    Anyone can be a poet,
    string together bits and pieces,
    But Great Poets are people
    who embrace what it all means...

    A poem holds a piece of its writer,
    a little piece of their minds...
    What I love about great poems
    is you can see the writers heart
                            in between the lines...

    Wow. It really captured how I feel about writing. It's amazing. I honestly don't know how to put the way it inspired me into words.. Oh and, you should read "She Writes" i actually wrote it about you and me...

    Indeed! I especially like that last stanza. To me, poetry is even beyond us, as writers. One could think that we can't even begin to say -Poetry is....- It is too mysterious in its ways. But this piece is right. Much percieved through the lines.....through poetry. Its like it says what regular words can't quite justify. Movitational read Oddey :) Good deep perspective.
