    I am certain there are many poets who can relate to this write

    Longing to be understood

     Longing to be understood    41  Lines

    Sometimes as the poet I am playing hide and seek,
    Powerful in measure but appearing weak,
    Most of the time however, I chase what I cannot find,
    It puts me in a tumultous bind,
    Every stroke, every word of genius that I string together,
    Is a hidden code that, it seems will be hidden forever,

    Except for a few here and there who have the heart to dig a little deeper,
    And say oh he indeed was a sleeper,
    I long to be understood, but not by just anyone,
    No, Lo, someone,
    Whomever is woman and happens to capture my heart,
    And draws me to her like breath does to life from the start,

    She, and only she, is the one I want to understand,
    To see the devine skill grace the paper with his hand,
    She is the one that I want to search and break the code of what Im trying to say everytime,
    And gain a little more knowledge that will help solve the mystery to this crime,

    For in the past and ever present these words fall on deaf ears if it is the woman I desire,
    And yearn to love like the brightest fire,
    The heart told himself, shewed himself all for naught,
    All because the rules of love say he cannot,

    You cannot say these things initially, these, these words of love,
    They WILL NOT capture like the sweetest dove,
    They instead, make her run away and run away hard,
    Leave you feeling black and blue like something burnt, charred,

    And you cant present these words later on once you are with her, for it will draw no smile, no love,
    It will make you regret your gift from above,
    Perhaps if you were to marry it might stick, once, maybe twice,
    But that is slim and at best, nice,

    No, I, I must be doomed to allowing only the elite poet, one whose heart can see,
    That what I write is tuth turned happy,
    That when I write love it means something,
    That every word is far greater than the sum of nothing,
    That in the best way I can I am trying to express what verbal words no matter how powerful, sometimes cannot,
    But just like all the ones before and including this one, it will go hidden, never to be caught.

    The eluding message of uncaptured love by a poets use intimate love and the strange way we word it.... Code like you said she just will know
