    Poem Commentary

    I was 16 years old, upset, confussed and scarred.

    -My life at the moment(when I was 16)-
    In my eyes it's raining and the sky is gloomy.
    I'm sad, but I don't know why.
    My day has been dark; with no sight of the sun.
    It's cold out; and it makes my bones feel cold.
    I try to be cheery, but it's noticably fake.
    Things weren't always like this.
    But certain things make certain things go wrong.
    My days used to be immature and carefree.
    Now there is always something to worry about,
    always a reason to watch my back.
    I'm 16. I should be living a happy life.
    But what I really live is a life filled with worry.
    A life filled with hatred and fear.
    An unhealthy life, if you ask me.
    But I wont complain, Ill just keep chuggin along,
    no matter how much it tears me down.

    Teenage angst... it comes with the territory, but it doesn't make it any easier when you're going through it. Good work! Give your younger self a pat on the back from me.

    At times in life we all feel that the world is coming down crashing down on us. I felt this way as well when i was 16. Nobody knew though because of a " joy" i seemed to have towards life in general. Just keep chugging along though and realize that we are here for you. I will always be here to help you up when life gets you down. Just a text or a call away

    i know how that goes... everyone eventually saw through my smile. now when i smile at strangers on the street they get confused. why is the world so fucked up ? at least you did keep going. : )
