    Sins

                               The sins of my past, come to haunt me so
                         So I call on you Lord, because it's you who knows
                               I'm a man created in your image, yet I fail
                                 Holding my breath, when i should exhale
                               Laying to rest, when I know I should stand
                                   Forgive me father, for I'm only a man
                                  All of these things, are killing me inside
                            I swollow my pride, reach for your hand to guide
                                      Accept me lord, for a sinner I am
                            In try and touch the water, yet I'm stuck in sand
                                    Trying to see, but tears fill my eyes
                               I'm here on my knees, please help me to rise
                                  I know wrong from right, and I do both
                                   Will I be judged, for the one I do most
                           Protect me in this battle, between the good and bad
                           Lessons were learned, from the wounds that I've had
                    In the name of your one and only son, it's weighing on my chest
                                   I'm a sinner lord, but know I do my best

    I think anyone who has a conscience we all deal with these feelings....I can say I do very often...Nice poem.
