    Poem Commentary

    This poem started out as a fun play on the tin man, lion, and scarecrow theme - hence the title. But it is more about relational issues and spiritual beliefs.

    Blizzard in Oz

    To seek a heart – I need not,
      nor a brain – have I sought,
        courage – I have not bought.

    Snow white – brings Santa Claus,
      for Christmas’ spirit – we pause,
        foregoing – all by-laws.

    I need to know – who you are,
      led by the brightest – north star,
        guide me now – from afar.

    In this place – so mighty cold,
      a warm heart – I long to hold,
        this babe, my savior – “I am,” He told.

    Very nice & pleasant poem and this O P says I need to type in MORE than 50 characters. Here I am working on NOT being so long "winded"..... geezzzzz

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
