    Thanks Tyler B., for being such an encouragement to us at Mulvane Christian. A youth from church returned from a mission trip with a story that encouraged me to write this. Nothing could be as sweet as fresh bread...'cept our savior.

    Fresh Bread

    To the youth who inspire us all...TB.

    Nothing could be sweeter,
      than momma's cinnamon rolls,
    'cept the "bread of life,"
      in who's hands there are holes.

    Like the crystal blue waters,
      of a South American sea,
    I know now where,
      my savior desires me to be.

    He invites me to the table,
      to eat what I am able,
    He's not far, but so very close,
      His words mean the most.

    Savoring words 'bout His hands,
      His heart, His head,
    quenching my hunger,
      His love is like fresh bread.

    Absolutely LOVE this poem, tooo. Nothings better than Mom's fresh homemade Cinnamon Rolls "bread". Yummy. And, our Savior is the VERY best in our lives who offers us our: Daily Bread. Really enjoyed this poem as well : )

    Yep, even got mom in on one of the poems.

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
