• Love

    we met in mid-air
    the collision was felt downtown
    we kissed somewhere up there
    in love among the clouds

our love is like a film
    a dramatic comedy
    there's laughter, life and soul
    apart we are raggedy

i'm the minstrel and the poet
    and troubled troubadour
she is the muse and the magnet
    my mercy and matador

    a canyon and a mountain
    sometimes we don't make sense
we are statues in a fountain
    is this a coincidence

she is the colour i am the brush

Lovely!! It's as if you are painting a picture with your words. Great imagery!

Wow - that's all I can say right now. your delivery encapsulates the love, humor and understanding of human nature - I can see a glint of humor in your eye and a wry smile on your lips as you whipped this out. 10

thank you, i really appreciate YOU taking the time to read me.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
