    Our Baby

    Our Baby

A little me, a little you
Eyes of brown, or maybe blue
    Chubby cheeks, smiling face
Held so warm in our embrace

    This baby we've created, Love
With God now watching from above
Will bring to us some joy, some pain
But we will love "it" all the same

It seems the time is flying by
And then at times I feel I'll DIE
Before I look into that face
    With unconditional love and grace

Dear God, help me a parent be
    Who guides our baby tenderly
For this child though our very own
Is just for us a "Precious Loan"

Dedicated to Gabriel & Jennifer Thomason...and our new grandchild, on the way!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
