Tepid
The rising tide hastens towards her
She stares at the glistening water
Faintly in the near distance she hears the waves breathing as they fold in on themselves.
Her sadness slowly ebbed the surface, overwhelmed she cries softly
He was long dead, swallowed by the sea, no return
Every year on this day, she would linger here, lamenting the past
unforgotten
Remembering faded seasons, and lost time
