Beholding The Fall
Incense burning in the hall
So afraid to ever fall
Skies glowing like snow
Hidden under the frozen mistletoe
Folk play in the background
Wishing to rebound
While knowing their loneliness
Is stronger then the blissfulness
The god of Hara-Kiri has reached back
Eyes kept open but seeing only black
Holidays expecting you to be grateful
Shames making your heart turn hateful
They remind you of the one you love most
The remembrance of their kiss brings the ghost
Drop to the floor to daydream once more
Crying becomes such a chore
The times you visited me in my sleep
Are too precious to escape
Your hand on my waist
Those eyes forcing me to face
Debt I cannot repay
Please don’t lets these images decay
Tears now seeping down into my hair
My whole body rasping for air
When I’ve waited so long,
How will a prayer do?
