Forget
You own,
More than you can see,
A heart entire,
That happens to belong to me.
It knows your name,
Along with each feature of your face,
Your favorite color,
And what you most embrace.
Every thought is yours,
Each heart beat too,
I wake up every morning,
Knowing I wish I could be with you.
I long for your touch,
The smell you leave behind,
The smile you leave on me,
With your presence every time.
Each time I don’t hear your voice,
I feel each and every tear,
My heart breaking,
What most I fear.
I know people can’t pick & choose,
Decide what their heart will feel,
Mine picked you,
And with time my heart I will heal.
I will forget every word;
I will forget every letter,
All my feelings expressed on paper,
Replacing them with something better.
I am done with all my tears,
With waiting around,
Looking out the window,
Hoping to hear your sound.
I will erase every touch,
And every kiss,
Every moment,
You’ve never missed.
