I Wish It Were You
The white of the walls
Reminding me of the nothing
My life
Holds without you
The blue of my sheets
Makes me see the sky
And how blue it must be
Wherever you are
I feel the wind
Then I awake
And curse, the fan
I hear the tapping
Coming from the room
Beside where I lay
Going crazy
My hand brushes my
Cheek
And I wish it were you
So bad
The cover’s still over
My face
And I don’t plan on letting the light
Back in
Maybe I’m not
All here
But neither are you
So I brush it off
I run my hand
Through my hair
And I wish it were you..
So Bad.
