Hidden Child
The child in us
Is all that we love
And nothing we hate
The child in us
Are the places
We yearn to go
The child in us
Sees things perfectly
There are no flaws
The child in us
Calls to us
When things get old
The child in us
Was the soul
Who could see
Through the veil
Of the real
The child in us
Wishes to play
Whenever we feel astray
Quiet the pain with soft laughter
And give us all-knowing faith
That things will get better
There are no worries for this little one
Only opportunities to have some fun
