Forever
Forever is an empty promiseA man once made to a woman
Long ago under the sun's setting rays
And since then it has remained
A fancy hope that an earthy paradise
Will survive the earthquakes
The thunderstorms
The twisters
The destruction of time
Forever is just a word made up
And tied to a string around your heart
Pulling it along
And then one day the strings frays
And snaps
Leaving you completely unattached
Forever was just a warm dream
And a cold nightmare
Then I glanced up into your eyes
So, how do I handle
The timeless lie?
