Daydream
The rain pours down,
as I sift through the leaves
Earth running through my fingers,
as I crawl to the Reeds.
Through the tunnel of grass,
the clouds are moving with speed
I look up to see the faces of the prophets
My mind has escaped,
no longer bound by the flesh
I am searching for happiness,
and how to leave this regret
A riderless horse,
Leads to the Angel of Death
There's no need to be nervous, i'm just dreaming
Through the looking glass,
I retreat down the hole
The caterpillar is perched,
as he's taking a toke
He gestures to me,
But I can't see through the smoke
I extend my hand, but now he's hidden
As my journey continues,
I see the ghost of the father
I haven't known him for years,
reaching out for his shoulder
He turns to speak,
"take good care of your brother"
"He has lost his way,
Now go find him"
Lost as where to start,
He always thought me precocious
Ruled by jealousy and greed,
his smile makes me nauseous
He crossed the blade,
with no attempt to be cautious
He loves himself with reckless abandon
A sounding alarm,
I arose with a force
No longer chasing rainbows,
This end I did not endorse
Never will I catch,
the riderless horse
But of course, I wish I was still dreaming
