    Easy Pieces

    Alone with me.

    It is your hour

    I’m in your power

    What will it be

    When you’re alone

    Except for me?

     

    The busy stills

    I don’t mind

    You have the key

    Let anxious go

    I want to know

    What will it be?

     

    Alone with me

    Test your heart

    Is it in it?

    I’m here for you

    Just make a start

    It’s yours to win it

     

    Settle down

    Or settle in

    Take a walk

    There is no sin

    To open up

    So we can talk

     

    Alone with me,

    What will you choose?

    To risk it all?

    As if you’d lose!

    I’m here with you

    To catch your fall.

     

    The clock’s not on

    Though time is ticking

    So move your queen

    Inertia’s sticking

    Her move to capture king,

    Checkmate forseen.

    Harver, This is a refreshing format that tells in succinct lines what your heart's desire is. This reminds me of a new relationship. Check out my poem "Beyond Bliss" which is about the fear of falling in love. ginga

    Could be taken a couple f ways, I guess, but my poetic phrasing of letting all the busy stuff do its ting while getting into a zone of narrowed concentration such as Billy Chapel the pitcher in "For Love of the Game" . Harv

    I loved the line of what will it be when you are alone with me. Also, the clock's not on though time is ticking. Beautiful poetry! Makes me want to take that step. Again into this write as I read once more and more...Hugz
