    Poem Commentary

    Last spring I went to Kentucky with Leroy to scope out some land, and Leroy is so blessed, I wrote this for Leroy since he can't write for his women.

    A Southern Kentucky Home

      

    Every since I found my soul

    I was rewarded with a woman to hold

    Prayed for change within and without

    Believing in poetry and God with no doubt

    The power of faith and love

    The power of a woman in love, and above-

    the Angels went into a construction zone

    and built us a southern Kentucky home


    Poetry and grace is what we feel, so

    poets and God are very real, know-

    Know our friends your welcome to our home

    To feel the southern winds blow

    A friendly roll of the bluegrass, touching doe

    Here where the creeks flow, and the coyotes roam

    Resting in the front porch view of our southern home

    Knowing the gardens sweetly growing


    The ol’ Ford like a good ol’ horse, nods

    With a good morning, endorsed by God

    Another firm days work brings a firm days pay

    Just to get home to her soft smiling ways

    Another nights prayer brings a prayer surely answered

    The economy of heaven isn’t broken with the doubt cancer

    When your faith is faithfully spoken

    A promise of patience is the invoking-


    Blessings

    this is good man...there is alot of emotion in this here piece and you are not afraid to pour your heart out. I like that and admire that in you...and how you seem to be able to put all of that into your writing with little effort. I am the giver of kudos...and I grant you these.     Get that woodstove kickin',John-Tell LeRoy I got him a special treat! Soon enough I'll be coming home-to drink ice cold rootbeer,and watch my garden grow! All I can say to this is,,Ah! How sweet it is......ps-your perfect spirit is peekin' out again!lol
