Electric Illusions
The electric is not safe,
With its wires and holograms--
And their fading transparencies,
These shocking apparations.
One would think they'd seen a ghost,
A power-outage blackout.
Brains are a host to the
Circuit board; Bones are enwrapped
By the controlling cords.
And when one wire snaps,
The mindset is sent back;
Real air begins to smother.
The lungs are not prepared for
Such an ambush! But the ambush
Has come, for while sleeping
Someone became a parasite,
Eating and consuming, from
The inside-out! No one could feel a
Single thing, no one could ever see,
Distracted by electrical deceit!
