Eighty Years For Eighty Seconds
I spent my whole life waiting,
And when the time had come,
I knew it all was worth it,
And this was but the sum.
The pieces meshed completely,
The memories combined;
Potential is infinity,
And that I've come to find.
Through all and in its passing,
I've taught myself to stand;
Alone there is no motion,
But we walk, hand in hand.
Yesterday is the enemy,
And the key to understand:
Life is but infinity,
Grounded under the sand.
