They Called You Nancy
Cut off all your hair and then
Claim to be a man;
My boy, you weren't strong enough
For even your own plans.
Take a towel to wipe it off
And forget that you've failed;
Denial is as medicine as
A flood against a pail!
They Called You Nancy
Cut off all your hair and then
Claim to be a man;
My boy, you weren't strong enough
For even your own plans.
Take a towel to wipe it off
And forget that you've failed;
Denial is as medicine as
A flood against a pail!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
