    BREAKING THESOUND BARRIER

     Music sets us free, Music lets us travel inside our minds,
    Everyone should have a theme song,
    Music grounds us or takes us high, Changes our moods,
    Gives us energy as we rock on,
    Reminds us of better times when we were young,
    Brings us back home,
    Here I sit in my favorite chair, Remote in hand,
    Listening to a new CD,
    Starts out soft on a good note,
    Blossoms into waves of sound, I can't get enough,
    Increase the volume, Will it go high enough,
    My feet start to tingle, My body to vibrate,
    Raising the volume higher and higher,
    I close my eyes, I see stars and colors swirling around,
    The volume has peaked I can't go any higher,
    Floating among the notes, Touching the stars,
    The music is done, All is silent,
    All that's left is an empty chair....

    Of your new poems, this is my favorite so far. I identify with the first sentence, immediately finding the vein of truth, setting free... to travel in the mind... that is So True !... and in reading the entire poem, I really enjoy your ending... with the empty chair... as to cause the soaring from Earth gravity... A New View of how music affects so profoundly...

    Very creative where one can see and feel the emotions flow. This is not negative critiquing: I can see an essence of true poetry thoughts and expressions, but I also see a grander skills of novel writing here. Cannot wait to read additional writing of yours. Sincerely FreeBird 02
