    SLEEPWALKING

    We walk through life as if sleeping,
    Our eyes wide open, never seeing,
    We pass by so much without a notice,
    Only caring not to care or feel,
    We gaze ahead no goal in our sight,
    Of all these things we are blind,
    We lost our senses,
    Our purpose to be,
    We stare at the sun without warmth,
    Our lives in shadow,
    We feel the chill of the moon,
    Of our desolete lives we lead,
    We lost our way, We lost our way......

    This poem made me think and the sad thought is that this is sometimes true. This poem seemesd so allegorical, your images are chilling, but presented with such a steady meter that the theme of the poem is never lost.

    We do walk through life as if we're asleep. The majority of people only care about themselves, so in essence we lose ourselves, lost our way as you said.
