SPIRAL
I am out of control, My life is in turmoil,And the rest of me, Is in ruins, I hit it hard,
I didn't see it coming, Yet, Here I am,
It wasn't just once, Or even twice,
Just it never stopped, Would have thought,
Could have learned, Just maybe once,
But in the end, Like the begining,
All I can say is, Who would have known,
We stand at the top, All for a better view,
We try to get higher, To see a clearer view,
We reach our limits yet still try for more,
At which point, We fall, We spiral out of control,
We see what lies ahead, We brace for the impact,
We hit it head on, We pick ourselves up,
Brush off the dust, Then we look up to see,
Just how high we fell and realize it was a mere feat,
We see that no matter the hieght, no matter the distance,
Or the time it took for the climb, Only a few seconds had gone by,
Plus a lifetime slipped out of our grasp,
Only to spiral away out of sight,
Standing there, I turned and walked away........
