    Phoenix
    I have looked upon the face of the sun,

    As it touches and warms the earth,

    I have seen the moon on a dark night,

    As it is reflected upon deep waters,

    I have seen the fires of Hell and felt their chill embrace,

    While talking to fallen Saints,

    I have soared high above the clouds of the windswept wastes,

    Witnessed a kingdom beyond the gates,

    In the fury of a volcanic eruption I was born,

    From the ashes I arise, Eternal,

    I am the begining and the end,

    Forever the Phoenix.

    I bow to your clearly grander scope, more ethereal take on theme! I too have done one of those poems using the Phoenix as a vehicle for poetic purpose, yours is superior! Nice!

    I had to check this one out ... Thought maybe it would be an autobiography of sorts. This one surprised me - I really enjoyed it. You have Great style and flow and a way of painting a picture with your words.
