    Spirit Body

      As solemn strides go
     Along the beach or waters flow
     My spirit walks there gracefully
     Complete in time and eternity
     I wonder there without relent 
     Wondering about times spent 
     Aching to explore what life has to show
     Seeking more of my soul to know
     Beyond the shore, dreams and reality
     From past and present call to me
     Existing in time and outside it’s stage
     Find myself listening more to my inner sage
     What is, what is possible and what will be 
     Changes momentarily 
     Absorbed in daily life is my body
     But submerged in this spirit place my soul needs to flee 
    Wrangling between two worlds warm and cold 
    Life’s work and dance get bought and sold 
    One is fast and overwhelming 
    The other timeless, contemplative and telling
     
    I know the power within me to advance 
    I’ve wielded it in many and all circumstance 
    With tender memories and artful glance 
    I shift between two worlds of chance

    Loved the content of this poem. People that are artist are caught between two worlds aching to see what life has to show. I call that being out the box.

    "Absorbed in daily life is my body But submerged in this spirit place my soul needs to flee" — yes! Such crowned surrealism in this line. Peace and Light

    This is a nice poem. I think the mind plays tricks on us when we experiance hypnagogia. But we as poets love to expound on such matters and make them much more than they are....that's our job, for we are "dream weavers" Kind of punny, I know.

    I think there is an allusion to and extra-bodily experience, but my opinion is not all that valid, since my spirit is fully in park until God pulls the plug. I read twice to capture what you might have intended and it is such a waltzing flow of words and imagery! Very introspective of ponderings we may never understand, at least, fully.
