A Wife's Woes
You come home and yellbecause I'm on the computer-
never minding I'm doing schooling.
The house is a mess,
I never can keep up.
I'm so busy during the day,
cleaning, cooking,
always running, hardly resting.
Hardly take time to myself anymore,
Where have my friends gone?
They have all moved on.
I don't go out,
I don't party.
I stay here with you and our child,
taking care of you two.
Exhausting, wearing myself out.
I just want a change of pace,
that's all I ask.
It's really not much.
A night to myself, too.
But my responsibilities continue
in a never ending cycle.
Day after day,
it's always the same.
