    Did you ever.....

     You said it
    and I wonder
    if you really were
     ever true.
    If the words
    of love whispered
    in the dark
    ever spoke the
    truth to me
    or if they were
    just as empty
    as your heart
     is now.
    Did your touch
    mean anything
    other than just
    a warm body
    reaching out?
    Did your heart
    ever beat
    like mine
    at the first
    sight of you?
    Or did you
     plan this
    hurt all along,
    so you could
    laugh at me
    when the truth
    stung like a
    slap on the face?
    Did you ever
    really feel
    anything at all?

    A lovely piece. Love brings hard questions, ad trust is earned, not given. If you are not sure, then one must ask why? Your message was right on time. Write on....

    Thank you so much. Love is hard and sometimes does not seem worth it. But other times, it can be so good. What to do, huh?
