lost
Lost in this time,sure I'm set in another
yet trying to fit
in this era,
living my life;
trying not to seem
so ill fit
in this time and day,
where you can't be
sure who to trust,
but dreaming of a time
where one didn't eye
his neighbors with caution.
Perhaps I do
belong somewhere else,
my dreams set
in a land unknown
to this community;
where true friends don't exist,
neighbors helping each other neither.
Where did those times go?
The mark of evil
now present everywhere,
and everyone questioning
each motive.
Wo, is this time.
It has ridden long,
suffered much
to come this far.
No one caring,
just striking one another and themselves,
causing harm and hurt
to everyone involved,
getting lost in the mix-up,
losing myself as well;
to this lands desires-
greed, malicion, lies
born everywhere,
yet earning for easier times,
somewhere to place trust
and live quietly.
Lost in the throes
my heart is,
still it aches for
another time,
another place,
another era.
