You told me
You looked in my eyes,
promised to love me
till the end of the world.
Such foolish promises
you told me.
You led my heart
in circles
till the world seemed
to spin around you.
All I thought was you.
You were my rock-
the reason for my being-
so I thought.
Your love seemed true,
holding me,
encircling me through
cold nights.
But long it did not last.
The end of the world
must have come,
because your love turned
to another-
perhaps promising
her the same
