    Your Youth

     Your youth astounds me,
    the way you are so full of life,
    so curious about everything-
    wanting to know the world.
    I want to know your faith-
    the faith that you have
    that everything will work out.
    I want to keep up with you,
    I want to know your energy
    to discover
     what the world holds
     in store for each day.
    Each day holds a new adventure
    for you.
    This I want to know.
    This faith-
    this energy-
    this sweet young knowledge.
    You take me back,
     to my sweet youth.
    Watching you
    makes me want to know
    this again.
