    breaking down

    So tough,
    yet inside,
    so soft
    like a
    crumbling wall.
    Breaking down,
    losing control-
    hating this feeling.
    Can't control
    the feelings
     that once
    controlled life.
    Others tearing
    down your
     protective wall,
    trying to
    get inside.
    Not knowing
     what to do,
    but helpless
    to run away.
    Can't show
    these feelings,
    yet cannot
    hide either.

    I go along with Flawles's comment. Write what's in your heart, add a little poetic technique, and your emotions to make the recipe of who and what you are. This poem was a very easy read because each line is just a couple of words. Is this about you? You mentioned the word "control" three times, so that must be a real issue for you to contend with. If it is, I hope you make your way out of your rut and express your feelings, or they'll start to leak out in public, probably to your horror. Keep writing, and find your own voice. We'll keep reading and giving you feedback.

    Yeah this is about me. It's one of my old poems that I've written way back before I knew this site existed. Letting go of feelings is hard sometimes, so I put it in word.

    Never let anyone else stop you from "doin' you". Since we can't please everybody, as far as I'm concerned, don't set out to please anyone. Is anyone concerned about pleasing you?
