New Life
A new life has entered,
making its announcement
in a cry so loud
and sweet,
ringing in all the ears
that heard,
and leaked tears
from the eyes
that beheld
this sweet little bundle
that has just arrived.
The small person wriggles its way to Mother
seeking warmth and comfort.
So tiny and new
this life is.
So meek and fragile,
so brand new.
A new life so precious
waiting to be welcomed.
