The Weaker Sex
You rely on us so
yet you take what you want from us-
because we're the weaker sex.
But we do so much for you, without gratitude.
Is strength measure in muscle alone
or can it be measured in heart?
We bear your children,
yet you can't even handle a cold.
We keep the household running,
everyone on track,
while you get overwhelmed.
So what if we can't twist the lid
off the jar,
or lift that heavy box~
we do so much more.
But would that be considered strength?
To you, it does not seem so.
To you, you will always
be the stronger sex.
yet you take what you want from us-
because we're the weaker sex.
But we do so much for you, without gratitude.
Is strength measure in muscle alone
or can it be measured in heart?
We bear your children,
yet you can't even handle a cold.
We keep the household running,
everyone on track,
while you get overwhelmed.
So what if we can't twist the lid
off the jar,
or lift that heavy box~
we do so much more.
But would that be considered strength?
To you, it does not seem so.
To you, you will always
be the stronger sex.
