The Night Of Eternal Light
My eyes are closed
to shield myself
from all that burns
when I dream
Through the acrid smoke
into the heart
of the darkest soul
I can see
In your finest hour
share your last breath
with the setting sun
then come dance with me
Fight the wrath of time
as a never ending spirit
that yearns to be reborn
and lives to break free
These eyes empty and glazed
this skin pale and cold
this long dead heart
exists as a shadowed memory
