    Cresent Moon(Prose)
    Crescent moon(Prose)

    A clear and frigid night,
    last nights snowstorm quiet and on the ground.
    The sky a deep blue black.
    Breath of condensed air trails,
    the new crescent moon with Venus to the east
    stops all thoughts as they struggle to relapse.


    She waits for my reaction.
    Somehow her light makes it right.
    Always to be by your side.
    The soft tread of boot to snowfall.
    It doesn't matter when there is a test.
    I sense my insignificance.

    Peace and joy again.

    beautiful write, Grito! "the new crescent moon with Venus to the east / stops all thoughts as they struggle to relapse." a moment of absolute stillness in an otherwise hectic world (only just hinted at with "It doesn't matter when there is a test./I sense my insignificance." and the final line ... indeed ... this is the place from which peace and joy arise ... -dh

    I have always been told that the first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence and the second is listening....your words bring a moment of meditation to the reader in which the essence of the poem is captured to the fullest. You are warm at heart. Thank you for sharing Ivan!
