    It’s Real

    The flashbacks
    Are so real
    It really was
    My blood spilled

     It’s hard to find
    Those who really care
    They don’t stand up
    They just stop and stare

     I poured out my heart
    Opened up my life
    Hoping the next kid
    Won’t have so much strife

     If I could only stop
    The hurt and pain
    To ensure they have
    A chance to be completely sane

     At times I really
    Thought I would lose my mind
    So please wake up
    And open those blind eyes

     Child abuse is real
    In this whole world
    We must do our part
    To help every boy and girl
