    The Holy Bible

     The secret to
    My survival
    Is a book called
    The Holy Bible

     It helps the flashbacks
    It helps the nightmares
    It even helps
    With Satan’s dares

     It certainly helps
    When you are shaken
    Even when your heart
    Is truly breaking

     It’s there for you
    When you trip and fall
    And when you need love
    Most of all

    It’s there when a
    Friend lets you down
    Keeps your feet
    On solid ground

     I’ll be in heaven
    Someday
    Regardless of who or what
    Come my way

     It keeps my
    Lonely soul afloat
    Better than anything
    That I wrote

     It is life
    Whole and complete
    There for all to
    Let their heart feast
