    It is the first of October - the month of Thanksgiving

    THANKSGIVING


    For what I have I give thanks
    and I am grateful for what I do not have

    I know that at any moment
    I have all that I need
    so I will not cry out for more
    or for less

    I share in the abundant life,
    for I am ever aware of the Presence

    I believe that everything works for 'good.'
    That life is perfect
    and to live in harmony
    is to live with expectation, forgiveness
    and love.

    This is so beautiful and what i strive for daily. I am trying to learn to be thankful for what I don't have as well, This is the way I want to be but sadly am not. I covet too many things all the time.

    I think you are probably too hard on yourself. Aren't you grateful you don't have - a disease? Or poverty, or two heads?

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
