    Poem Commentary

To all my friends that love poetry and value the experience of creating and sharing their works.

    Words That Bind

Their words reach out to me in a poetical embrace

As if our minds were one as through family and blood

These friends of mine who create beauty through the written word

Designing living visions as if framed in fine antique lace

They write of life and past loves and times yet to pass

All cradled in poems that provide portraits in verse

Some long and some short; some bitter some sweet

Each one flowing as sand through an ageless hour glass

With love as their vision and hope as their guide

They construct living stories from where silence once stood

The poems bloom like beautiful flowers springing to life

Be not still friends of mine your works fill me with pride

So as time passes and we write in our far distant retreats

Do not forget me as we are bound by our words and our works

Continue to write and fear not as I will always be near by

In the audience you will see me - center aisle front row seat

Nice of you to say. Thank You.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
