A Cat, at That
He's only just a cat at that,He has no cane nor derby hat.
He doesn't wear a vest nor spats,
A simple cat, no more than that.
That doesn't mean he has no wishes,
He often dreams of silver fishes,
Served on little kitty dishes.
He thinks that could be quite delicious.
He likes to stretch in summer sun,
Or pounce on flies just for the fun,
Or lap his milk until there's none,
Then purr until the day is done.
He's only just a cat at that,
He dreams there, on his favorite mat,
Not a lion nor vampire bat,
A simple cat, no more than that.
