The Best that Money Buys
We have the finest government,The best that money buys.
They shake your hand sincerely,
They look into your eyes.
And yet, behind those smooth, smooth tongues
There lurk a thousand lies.
Investment banking is for sure
An interesting niche.
They scoop up folks retirement funds;
There is but one small hitch,
No insider information means
You won't be getting rich
Technology is neutral though,
It benefits us all,
Until your cancer comes along,
They pitch their fastest ball.
Insurance folks would much prefer
You move to Senegal!
Is this a place where we can share
The bounty of the land,
Where corporate greed takes back seat
To humanity's command
To shield the poor from the rich and
The meek from power's hand?
