    Another ferry poem. Enjoy the read

    Against All Odds

     Against all odds our course was set,
    Across the blackened void.
    Against the fickle whims of fate
    Our iron wills deployed.

    The refuse of a dying star,
    Uncertain of our way,
    This interstellar flight became
    Our only hope that day.

    Like mushroom spores we are spewn forth
    In search of fertile loam,
    We're refugees in stasis tubes
    All searching for a home

    Because our much beloved sun
    Is growing dull and red;
    In but a few millennia 
    Our planet will be dead.

    So sleep in frosted peace, my friends,
    And dream the years away.
    With patience, and a bit of luck
    We'll laugh again some day.
