     I'd like to die like grandpa Joe,
    Asleep.  The best death by far.
    Not yelling and screaming
    With teardrops all streaming
    Like passengers stuck in his car!

    A wicked ending! I assume this popped into the speaker's mind as the car plunged more deeply into the rushing river. Funny!
