Human Race
It's love that mends the fragments of our lives.
It's love alone that makes the broken whole,
That binds us into family again,
That seals the cracks and fissures in our soul.
Upon this spinning rock flung deep in space,
Besieged by wars, destruction and by pain,
It's love that set us back upon our feet
And gave us solid cause to build again.
So when we left the planet of our birth,
To venture to the furthest realms of space,
Our message to the universe was love,
For love, it seemed, defined the human race.
