    Poem Commentary

    I'm feeling a little set upon today. I guess that comes out in this poem. I think this one needs to be dedicated to Chaos128. He is my role model when it comes to in-your-face poetry... Enjoy!

    Choice

     What we should fear most in life
    Are those who have no doubt,
    The ones who know the answers
    To what it's all about,

    The ones who never question,
    Nor pause to stop and think,
    Who never need to bother
    To hypothesize or link

    Effect to cause, proof to fact,
    Nor untangle truth from lies,
    But buy the entire dogma
    Replete with warts and flies

    Then cram it all down our throat
    Just as far as it it will go,
    (Because we all are Bozos
    And they are in the know).

    Not quite so fast there buddy!
    Although I will defend
    Your right to an opinion
    Up to the bitter end,

    I get my own opinion,
    You can't force yours on me.
    Sometimes we're gonna differ,
    Sometimes we may agree.

    You can fish on your side,
    While I will fish on mine.
    With mutual restraint
    We'll get along just fine.

    Lots of wisdom in this one! Those who have all the answers seldom have any....and still it doesn't stop them from telling you how right they are and how wrong you are. Sort of reminds me of the bumper sticker that reads "Dear God, please protect me from your followers". Enjoyed the write....

    Oh yes we have my dear:) And these folks will argue the flour out of bread; only to convince one of their further ignorance...LOL It leave a bitter taste and lends a deaf ear...LOL he he...he who professes to know it all is full of ignorance; in the words of a comedian who's name escapes me at the moment, ignorance is bliss, I don't know what that means but I'm happy anyway...tee he. LOL

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
