    Poem Commentary

    I went to a poetry workshop this morning and they gave us 5 minutes to write something with the word "fire". This is my result. It needs polish, so I'll work on it in the future...

    Fire

     Fire's the word, the word obscurred,
    The word of hopes and love deferred,
    Blurred, demurred a silver bird,
    A monumental thought conferred.

    The fire of hope, the fire of love,
    The fire of ferver from above,
    The fire that will for 'ere be quenched,
    By waters of despair bedrenched.

    Inferno in a dying star.
    The fire, the fuel , the fear, the dream -
    Yes, fire we know who you are.
    The word, the syllable the meme.

    Much better than I could have done in five minutes. It usually takes me about two days.
