    Poem Commentary

    Another one of my bus poems... It just sort of popped into my head during the commute.

    Destruction

     Like children we toy with destruction.
    We brandish our sword and our gun,
    Not heeding the cost of the effort
    Just as long as our object is won.

    Too ready to sacrifice others,
    Too willing to pay any toll,
    Not knowing the price thus exacted
    Is not one penny less than our soul.

    destruction and killings are just taken for granted especially if their views are different to ours. well said my friend , I like it , a 10 from me. thank you

    Aside from the obvious truths herein, it can apply from gun control to nuclear proliferation, And spoken with such simple terms. I like this poem, this warning, this indictment.
